I write most of these blog posts late at night, before I go to bed, and schedule them to release the next day.
Today is no exception, but I wanted to do something a little more “newsy” for today’s post, possibly even consider making it more of a recurring feature? Let me know if you want me to do more news-worthy posts, maybe on Sunday mornings or something. I also have been “on” for the last couple weeks with writing advice, and I need to take a step back to recharge my batteries.
Today was a pretty busy day. I met with one of my two writing groups (okay, I technically have three but one of them is an “accountability group” that usually takes up the same amount of time as my other groups.)
I didn’t have anything submitted for this week’s meeting, owing to me not getting much writing during my book’s launch week. Apparently, you are allowed to sit around all day and refresh your sales page instead of writing. I was told this by top professionals in the field. TOP!
The romances I reviewed today are AMAZING, and I can’t wait till their available. I spoke to the lovely ladies in my group about posting up on my blog, so hopefully, I’ll have something to share. I’m also super excited about a debut author’s first thing. I’ll let you know when that is coming.
After our meeting, I went to my parent’s house where we had lunch. My brother and his family were in visiting, and we had a lovely lunch, conversation, and it rained! Living in the Phoenix area, I love it when it rains. We only get a handful of days each year when it really pours, and I find myself just standing on the porch watching the rain come down around me, feeling the tiny splashes on my legs.
Getting home in the afternoon I got some recording done, but frustrated because Minecraft kept crashing. I lost nearly forty minutes of footage that way and had to restore a couple times. GRR.
I then met with my accountability group online and knocked out some editing and writing and cover tweaking for something that I’ll be announcing very soon!
Now it’s 11:45 pm and I need to get to bed.
