Not a lot to say today. Had a busy day working, writing, recording with friends and had a couple productive writer meetings.
I wrote some new content today. I’m pretty happy with it. 1676 words in Korrigan 05 and I thought I would share a small quote:
We parted ways and I followed the beat of the Song to a large set of double doors set in the ground. It must have been how they got her in and out. I scanned around briefly to see if I could find the mechanisms to open the hangar-sized cellar doors but gave up. I needed to asses the situation before deciding on a course of action.
Heading down the small set of iron stairs, I paused at the second landing, a pungent smell of antiseptic, and burned hair hit my nostrils.
This had to be the place.
“Hey! Who are you?”
Nothing earth shattering, and since I haven’t released the first of the Korrigan Chronicles, I don’t want to give too many spoilers, so I’ll leave it at vague parts.
Despite the boring day, this is the sort of day you want to have as a writer. Daily production, the occasional meeting with another writer or two to go over plot ideas, goals, and gently nudge each other to do better. It’s not glamorous, but it’s effective, and it gets book written.
